Attendance was lighter than last year, but
we saw more new member’s faces this year. We started with cocktails and
appetizers and lots of conversation. Keith prepared the “guess the part”
board, and presented a new game called “Brit in a bag”. There was a
British car part in a paper bag. You could fondle the bag as much as you
wanted to guess the car part inside. Gene Nunn was the knowledgeable
winner.
The planned slide show 2007 activity
pictures did not go quite as planned; the projector and the PC were not on
speaking terms, so the pictures were shown only on Donna’s 17 inch laptop
screen. They were still interesting just the same.
Dinner and dessert were excellent, as
usual. The food at the Monarch is really good.
Awards were awarded and prizes given away.
The raffle had lots of automotive related items as well as fun stuff for
everyone. You could put your tickets in bags for individual items, or in
one place for the miscellaneous table. It was fun and did not drag on too
long.
The evening went fast and we all had a
good time. I hope to see you all there next year. I hope you had a Merry
Christmas.
